New Cycle and a Sick Baby

Sunday morning we make the drive to center city to have my cd 3 b/w and u/s. I typically go to the suburban satellite office. The scan was performed by the doctor which was nice because she was much more thorough and I got to ask lots of questions. I'm beginning to like the staff at this office so much more that I might make the drive down since it's only about thirty minutes further. We'll see.

I'm going to bump up my clomid to 100 mg from 50.  100 mg was my dosage when I had the boys, but like the doctor said, I'm older, my eggs are older she doesn't think I should be going down in the dosage at this point. I explained to her that we have four more chances and while I don't want to be like "one failed cycle, lets go crazy and have more multiples." I certainly don't want to have three more cycles of one egg and possibly no chance. Also, I ovulate on my own, why am I on clomid to only produce one egg? She also noted that if I have a poor response or an over response we can just not do the IUI and save it so we don't blow them.

When we got back from the doctor we discovered that my sweet little G has a stomach bug. It's my first time seeing him really sick and so sad to see him not be able to keep anything down. My poor parents were watching him while we were at the doctor and my poor mom was so worried. He was able to sleep last night, but threw up his milk this morning. I gave him dry toast and a banana around 8, and about 4 oz of mile around 9:30 and he hasn't gotten sick yet. He's sleeping now. I've also been giving him plenty of fluids. Last night we cuddled and watch toy story together. Little B has been so good at playing by himself. I'm so proud of him. B has been spared so far. He was able to have a flu shot, but G wasn't because of his egg allergy. I'm praying it'll keep B protected if that is what this is.

I better go throw in another load of laundry now. It's amazing how much laundry one sick baby can create!

  2. Ugh! We had our first stomach bug here a few weeks ago...not pretty. Hope G feels better soon and B is indeed spared. Good luck with the 100mg, hope it's the magic dose!

  3. I'm glad your appointment went well. I'm curious as to which fertility practice you go to around here. I went to Penn Fertility and had a really good experience with them. Good luck with your next cycle! I hope G is feeling better soon!

  4. I don't know how to reply to comments either! Who is your doctor? I saw Dr. Kalra and Dr. Edwards. Love them both. I delivered G at Penn and will deliver the next one there, too. How funny we might have crossed paths at some point!
