I am on the 2WW of waiting for the babies W first birthday. Sigh. I know that you hear how fast they grow from everyone, but I cannot believe it has almost been a year since B&G made their way into our lives.
This weekend, Mr. W and I had a wedding to attend so my parents offered to take the boys overnight. Sunday we went to pick them up and had a party for them at my parent's house (they live about 5 hours away). We had such a nice time and it was so nice for the boys to get to meet a lot of their cousins. G was a little overwhelmed by everyone, but he was also exhausted which did not help. Watching them eat their cake was hilarious.
We had to leave almost half of the toys at my parent's house since they didn't fit in our car! They'll be able to bring them down in a few weeks when they come and visit.
Sadly, the first birthday party I was going to have for them at our house might end up being cancelled! I think most of Mr. W's family is unable to attend so we may just take B&G and his parents out to lunch instead. My parents were going to come, but my father will be having surgery and will have to spend five days in the hospital.
Sadly, I don't have any photos as my BIL took most of the pictures. Hopefully I'll have some to share soon!

Where does the time go???? I can't believe it's been a year for you already & we are coming up on 8 months! I'm so glad you had a nice time with your family. Best of luck to your dad on his surgery!

ReplyDeleteIt seems like that first year goes in the blink of an eye...and so far the second year does too. Happy the boys had fun at your parents, look forward to seeing some cake pics =)
