The boys will be seven weeks tomorrow. Unbelievable! They are now out of their newborn clothes and diapers. I may have shed a little tear over that.
This week Mr. W had to go to California so I was flying solo with the boys for three days. We all made it out alive. I did shower every day, but I may have also worn sweatpants and never left the house except to grab the mail. Ha!
My six week follow up went well. It seems weird that I won't have to go to the doctor to have my lady bits examined again for a year. Very nice!
The most awesome news is that the boys started sleeping 11 p.m. - 6:30 or 7:00 a.m. this week. It happened on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I'm praying this is going to become a regular thing. I feel like a new woman. Although they have moved out of their crib and back in to their rock n plays for now. I moved them into their room though so I'm hoping they get used to sleeping at night and them I'm going to transition them back into their crib. I'm all about baby steps with this! I did have to get up every hour from 3:30 - 6:30 for paci replacements though. Oh well, I'll take it!
Here is a shot from our little photo shoot yesterday. G is licking B's head. He is obsessed with his tongue. Oh, and B is becoming quite a smiler. I was holding him today and I looked down at him and he had a huge smile. So awesome!

Awww. They're looking so cute. Woohoo for starting to get more sleep! And for surviving the solo weekend! I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteI am mostly a lurker. That is so great your boys are sleeping so well. I can not wait for my little guy to sleep more. Do you have your boys on a schedule yet? Any advice? Also, any advice for making it through a few days alone without dh? I know this will be the case for me sooner than later.
ReplyDeleteVery cute picture!!!! I am so glad everything is going well.
Great update! I cried when I packed up the NB clothes too. Nice work on flying solo, you did amazing to get a shower and the mail each day =) Sounds like sleep couldn't be going any better...isn't it amazing how different you feel with 6-8 hrs of sleep?!?!
