The boys turned seven weeks yesterday! I know everyone says this, but I cannot believe how fast they are growing. I think I also "turned a corner" about a week ago. I had heard that at around six weeks everything starts to click. I wasn't sure if this would be the case for us since the boys were born four weeks early, but I was looking forward to it anyway. And, amazingly enough, it did. The boys are sleeping much better. I can put them down at 11:00 and they will sleep until around 6:00. Last night I didn't have to go to them until 5:30! I'm almost ready mentally to start trying to run again. I have not been looking forward that at all, but I just started to the other day.
And, most importantly, I think I'm finally getting the hang of motherhood. It's not that I didn't enjoy it before, I just realized this weekend that they are finally fitting into our life rather than our life revolving around them. I guess I felt like we are really gelling as a family. Sometimes I just look at the boys and start to almost cry because I feel like my heart is going to burst because of how much I love them.

ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful corner to turn =) Happy things are going great. The boys are so, so cute in their Christmas garb! I know the feeling of your heart feeling like it will burst...and the love just seems to grow, so crazy...but great!
