Quick Update!

I thought I would get better at updating this thing, but as the boys are awake more, I find I have less time to blog.

The boys turned three months on the 17th! I felt like from two to three months went by slow, but that they are going to be four months before I know it.

The only thing I wish was that I could get them to sleep more! They go to bed around 7:30 and wake up anywhere between 12:30 and 4:00. The nights that they wake up at 4:00 are great, but when they get up at 12:30, I have so much trouble getting back to sleep. I actually think that the sleep deprivation is the hardest part of motherhood so far, and if that is my only complaint, I'm VERY lucky!

I'm feeling emotionally better since my last post. I got AF shortly after that and I think I had some raging PMS. I used to take medication for PMDD so I think that I might be having some crazy mood swings with AF, so I'm going to keep better track of my cycles to I can anticipate when those emotions might creep up so I know it's the PMS and that I'm not going crazy!

This week I'm going to work on getting them to nap in their cribs. I had a good run, but one of my boys naps so well in the swing and I've been lazy.  I want to break that habit now before he outgrows the swing and we have a real problem!  They are doing pretty well for this nap, but we'll see how the rest of the week goes. I'm sure we'll still have some in the swing, but we'll get there.

Not much else happening. The boys are being baptized on Sunday finally and I'm looking forward to seeing our family. My mother will be here Friday and it will be so nice to have another set of hands to feed the boys. I really hate that I can't hold them to feed them. They don't seem to mind though.

Here they are at three months. They were feeling very serious this day! B is on the left and G is on the right. I cannot believe how big they are getting.

We broke our the six month clothes the other day:

And they were happy when we went in the car (until we actually got in the car)!

  1. Too adorable. I love the serious faces.

I hope you figure out the napping and sleeping! I can't imagine that adding sleep deprivation to PMS can be that much fun.

  2. The exhaustion in the newborn phase is SO hard! It sounds like they are starting to extend their sleep so hopefully there's some light at the end of the tunnel. They are adorable, the serious faces made me giggle =)

  3. It is great to hear an update! The serious pictures are so cute!! Sounds like your little guys sleep about the same as my little guy -- it is hard but I have faith it will get better & better as they get older!

Thank you for responding to your other post about the angel care monitor. My DH thinks I am crazy but I may order one tomorrow during my day off while my DH is at work (sneaky I know but if it gives peace of mind, I am all for it!)
