Thanks all, and other ramblings!

Thank you to all that responded to my last post. It’s times like these that I realize that I do “know” some people that get it!

In a weird turn of events, I found out one of my good friends from high school (that I totally lost track of) is having twins via IVF. Who would have thought that two girls out of a 46 person graduating class would be struggling with IF? I’m really happy for her and it makes me hopeful for our future.
I guess I’m at 10DPO today. I had some cramps, a really sore chest and some beautiful pimples to make me feel pretty confident that AF will be here on Friday. Thank goodness our RE follow up is finally this Wednesday morning! I can’t wait!!

In non-IF news, I am finally down 10 pounds and I ran (ok, jogged slowly) six miles on Saturday and seven miles on Sunday. Now I’m thinking about training for a 10K in May and a half-marathon in August. The Philly half-marathon is the weekend of my sister’s wedding and I saw there is one in Chicago. I’ve never been to Chicago, but would love to go so I’m really thinking about it. The IF part of me thought “August? Are you crazy? You could be pregnant in August!” And then I though I’m not putting my life on hold anymore! If I get pregnant then I’ll either walk / jog the race (if doctor says it’s okay) or I lose a few bucks on the race admission. We could still take the trip and enjoy a weekend away pre-baby. The other part of me thinks, if I’m not pregnant by August I’m going to lose my mind! Ugh! I told you all I was rambling!

  2. 10 pounds is great! you must be working very hard, Girl! As for the half-marathon, I say go for it! I think it would be a great distraction, and I am sure that would benefit you many ways. I also do the same and I just have joined a half-pro dance group, which I know would have to give up when pg. It's relaxing, it's distracting and it's putting me back to shape.
Congrats for your Blog Award nomination!;)
